Design Tip of the Week (7.13.09): Decorating your beach house

We loved the last weeks Friday Finds tropical place mats so much, that we wanted to show you more beach inspired decor. So whether you have a beach home, live near the beach, or just want have that beach feel in your home...We captured two different beach looks that will make you want to have a little fun in the sun! Today's will focus on beachy fun, come back on Wednesday to see a little beachy chic!



Beachy fun - adorn your house with warm summer colors and use beach themed accessories to create your beachy look. Whats fun about this beach style is that you want to play it up as much as possible. The themed accents are the eye catchers and make you and your guests know that are close to the beach!


We went to friend and P4D fan, Pleasance's, beach house to capture some of her fun and beachy decor.



Highlights of their house include the fun beach themed art, lamps, a surfboard mirror, and furniture that has great beachy touches in their design (like the seashell knobs or the colors of the ocean mosaic glass.
